Go2 Body Vest — in development
One fabric panel over the back and sides of a Unitree Go2, held by two straps under the belly. The underside stays open.
In development. Factory samples have not been made, and no fit has been checked on a robot.
It is not for sale yet: there is no price and nothing to add to a cart.

None can be ordered yet: ordering opens once factory samples pass their checks, and there is no date yet. The Go2 Body Vest is the first piece going to a factory; its samples have not been made.

Design drawing, not a photo: drawn from a 3D model, not measured on a robot. The numbered circles are explained below.

What it is
- One fabric panel, 220 mm long, over the Go2's back and sides, between its front and rear hips.
- Two 25 mm straps with hook-and-loop ends cross under the belly and fasten to loop bands on the panel's lower edges. They come loose, not sewn on.
- Face fabric: 100% polyester, machine washable. The sample fabric and its weight are not chosen yet.
- Drawn around the one Go2 body Unitree publishes for the AIR, PRO and EDU, with nothing mounted on the back (such as an EDU payload).
The numbers
- Panel length
- 220 mm, front edge to rear edge
- Panel width, laid flat
- 340–361 mm from one lower edge, around the back, to the other: 340 over most of its length and 361 at the front edge, because the Go2's back rises toward the neck
- Go2 body girth
- 549 mm by tape at mid-length
- Go2 body width under the panel
- 194 mm
- Straps
- 2, each 25 mm wide with hook-and-loop ends; 340 or 351 mm long depending on the sample
These come from our 3D fit study of the Go2, not from a robot. They get checked on a real Go2 once samples exist.
What it keeps clear
The numbers match the circles in the drawing.
- 1 and 3The LiDAR sensor under the chin, which looks forward and down. The panel's front edge stops 179 mm behind it, and nothing reaches forward of that edge.
- 2The front camera on the nose, 217 mm in front of the panel.
- 7The belly. The belly pad (and, on docking units, the charging contacts) stays uncovered: the panel's lower edges stop 25–30 mm above it, and only the two straps cross underneath.
- 4, 5 and 6The hip joints and the rear thighs. The panel sits between the hips and ends 32 mm in front of the rear thighs, so it has no cut-outs for the joints.
- 8A part under the rear of the body. The straps stay clear of it.
Not known yet
Where the battery's end and its power switch sit under the panel, the carry-handle strap, the tracking module and docking units' charging contacts are not in Unitree's published robot description. They are checked on a Go2 with the samples: the battery must still slide out, and the switch must still press, with the vest on.
What happens next
Two factory samples: a plain rectangle and a shaped panel. We try both on a Go2 (or a full-size Go2 body form) against the eight checks in the tech pack, and only a sample that passes every check becomes something you can buy.
